A day long activities could find you hiking to and from the Filipino-American-Japanese Amity Shrine. Its wise to take food and much liquids because of the three to three and a half hike each way. Or you could spend two days enjoying Mount Talinas while camping overnight up there.

Prices vary from 800 pesos per night to approximately three thousand five hundred. You will find comfortable, but not exclusive accommodation, in Dumaguete, and in cities throughout Negros Oriental.

Travel is good throughout the main roads in the island. Getting around Dumaguete is easy. Just pay ten pesos to travel anywhere within the city. You can rent a scooter for four hundred pesos daily, less weekly, rent a car, or use Ceres bus line to travel longer distances

Dumaguete is the center for arts and culture in Negros Oriental. The city has a history of attracting artists for a long time, partly because of the from the city having four universities. There are many groups you can associate with. If you want to join a running group, they offer regular workouts from mild to strenuous. If you want a rigorous, fun work out with good people, try the early morning Zumba dancing on Rizal Boulevard. Go for coffee and conversations afterwards with your new friends.
